OBRI research to be presented at the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) Annual Scientific Meeting, November 7-11, 2015

This November, researchers from OBRI will travel to San Francisco to present their research at the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) Annual Scientific Meeting from November 7th-11th.

The international conference brings together rheumatologists, researchers, patients and stakeholders to share innovative research, new scientific discoveries, and evidence-informed care practices for improved treatment and patient care. With a focus on building and sharing knowledge, the meeting will include a broad range of podium presentations, poster presentations, and clinical workshops on the treatment and management of rheumatic disease.

This year OBRI will deliver two podium presentations and seven poster presentations. Podium presentations will be delivered by Dr. Bindee Kuriya on “Predictors of disease relapse and recapture of remission following relapse in an Ontario Rheumatoid Arthritis population” and Mark Tatangelo on “Temporal trends in drug prescription, utilization, and costs among Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) patients.”

Scientific posters will be presented on a broad range of topics such as: persistence with biologic monotherapy vs. combination therapy, treatment patterns in RA after methotrexate, patient-reported pain medication use, attrition and participant characteristics in RA, rates of primary and secondary failure of anti-TNF medications for RA, patient priorities for RA research, and the role of social determinants of health on treatment response in RA.

We’re excited to share our latest research and look forward to connecting with other leading researchers in rheumatology. For more information on the ACR Annual Scientific Meeting, please visit: http://acrannualmeeting.org/.
