OBRI Student Researcher Awarded for Best Presentation at U of T Ogryzlo Day!

Congratulations to OBRI researcher and PhD candidate Mark Tatangelo for his award of Best Podium Presentation at the University of Toronto’s Annual Ogryzlo Day on Wednesday June 29th!

Mark’s presentation, titled “Temporal Trends in Drug Prescription, Utilization, and Costs Among Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) Patients Show Wide Regional Variation Despite Universal Drug Coverage,” highlighted trends in RA medication prescribing, costs of treatment, and disparities in regional prescribing patterns for patients with RA in Ontario.

Mark's Award_Ogryzlo Day 2016Ogryzlo Day showcases new and innovative student research in the field of rheumatology. The day included 6 podium presentations, 48 scientific poster presentations, a keynote address by Dr. Anne Barton of the Centre for Musculoskeletal Research at the University of Manchester, and an awards presentation for best student research. Ogryzlo Day is named after Dr. Metro A. Ogryzlo (1915-1977) for his contributions to the field of rheumatology.
