OBRI to present latest research at the American College of Rheumatology Annual Scientific Meeting in Washington, D.C.

This November, researchers from OBRI will travel to Washington, D.C. to present their research at the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) Annual Scientific Meeting from November 11th-16th.

The international conference brings together rheumatologists, researchers, patients and stakeholders to share innovative research, new scientific discoveries, and evidence-informed care practices for improved treatment and patient care.  With a focus on building and sharing knowledge, the meeting will include a broad range of podium presentations, poster presentations, and clinical workshops on the treatment and management of rheumatic disease.

This year OBRI will deliver 1 podium presentation and 2 poster presentations. The podium presentation will be delivered Dr. Vandana Ahluwalia on “Predictors of Non-Adherence with Anti-Rheumatic Medication in Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients: Results from the Ontario Best Practices Research Initiative.” Scientific posters will be presented by Dr. Claire Bombardier on “The Effect of Triage Assessments on Identifying Inflammatory Arthritis and Reducing Rheumatology Wait Times in Ontario” and Dr. Carter Thorne on the use of oral vs. subcutaneous methotrexate at biologic initiation.

We’re excited to share our latest research and connect with other leading researchers in rheumatology!  For more information on the ACR Annual Scientific Meeting, please visit: http://acrannualmeeting.org/.
